If you are still in Ecuador you should check out Pigmy Marmosets found in that country. Only 5" long and less than a pound in weight. Cover story in this month's Smithsonian Mag. Absolutely darling. You might find world's longest snake along with world's smallest monkey.
Rubber boots are enough barrier against venomous snakes?! I adore your adventurous spirits and willingness to carry us along with you. Remember Boyd, I get the first signed copy of the hard copy volume 1.
It's beautiful that you are sharing this adventure. I don't have the passion to travel there. Hearing about the choices that our indigenous people face about maintaining their traditional ways, how that impacts family and their culture, how they stay true to their dignity despite the costs - it's very humbling. Thank you for sharing the best of our shared humanity with them. May we all become kinder and more genuine.
You both love adventure and it is fascinating to read about your unique experiences. I hope you continue your trek with safety and awe! For us, we will trek to the airport, safely in our Volvo and board a plane for Montego Bay. Sans Souci has fewer snakes and blow guns are prohibited. Have fun and so will we!
Karen, thanks so much for your comment. All the best.

Wish I were that talented to get a book out😜

Jerry, we will be thinking of you at Dan Souci and will miss our friends who will join you there.
Sounds like you are living in an adventure movie. I loved every minute of your description and felt like I was there with you and Andrea.
